Brännland Icecider Barrel Aged 2013, another 60 bottles available

Released in July Brännland Ciders first vintage of barrel aged icecider has caught on so well the company has decided to buy back an additional 60 bottles from one of their European distributors to make them available to Swedish customers through Systembolagets (Swedish alcohol monopoly) special assortment. Order number is 76345 at a price of 149 SEK for a 187 ml bottle. 

Barrel ageing adds layers and depth to the ice cider integrating the acidity and apple notes further with the residual sweetness of the cider. Closer to a classic dessert wine than its steel aged cousin  with great potential for further ageing. If you want to drink it now Brännland Cider barrel aged ice cider pairs well with desserts and foie or together with a mild cigar for slow enjoyment and meditation.
